Quotes and Estimates
Here in the Monster Cave we try our level best to provide you with realistic quotes wherever we can. Sometimes, your demands on our Monster Minions are such that we are unable to provide detailed quotes - in those instances the Monster Overlords will provide an estimate only. Due to the wild nature of our working environment, all quotes or estimates are valid for 30 days only from date of issue. Should you accept your quote, we will require your firstborn and an oath written in goat's blood. Or a deposit. Whichever is easier.
Deposits
Our Monster Overlords require a deposit before they will unchain their Monster Minions to work on your project. Unless, of course, you have some special prior arrangement with Monster Management. As stated, this usually requires a sacrifice. Deposits are immediately spent on raw meat and fresh chains, and are therefore non-refundable.
Project Payments
Graphic Design - 50% deposit with balance on completion.
Website Design: 35% deposit, 35% project payment with balance on completion.
Monster Graphics reserves the right to release a plague of mini-monsters upon your workplace should your project take an unreasonable length of time. Alternatively, we may invoice for any work-to-date. Again, due to the voracious eating habits of our Minions, project payments are non-refundable.
Invoices
All invoices are sent either by pigeon or via email. Please notify Monster Graphics as soon as possible if your pigeon refuses to release its message, bites you, or you cannot open the invoice attachment. Our Monster Overlord demands small furry animal sacrifices should your invoice not be paid within 7 days. If no small furry animals can be found, the Overlord will visit your business in person, and may devour one of your staff. This occurs when invoices are not paid within 7 days. Failure to pay any invoices on time will not only incur the wrath of the Overlord, but also a penalty charge; and will be sent to a debt collection agency which as we all know are full of much larger and scarier Monsters. All fees from the debt collection agency will be added on to the account in question and further sacrifices may include company management and possibly Mothers-in-Law. We realise this is not much of a threat. The Monster Graphics Overlord reserves the right to hold any design project from the client until payment has been made in full. In the case of a website, the Monster Graphics Overlord reserves the right to restrict access to your website until payment has been received in full. We may also post embarrassing class photos of you with 80s hairstyles and shoulder pads. Any LIVE websites can be torn to shreds and incinerated in our weekly Monster bonfires if any invoice is not paid. Invoices can be paid by direct credit, cash, cheque, or human slave equivalent. Please note: Monster Graphics WILL NOT accept Mothers-in-Law, interns or delivery boys as slaves.
Graphic Design
Emailed or printed proofs will be issued prior to completion and/or going to print. The Monster Graphics Overlord holds no responsibility for any content errors after the proof has been accepted, as obviously this requires punishment of a minion not belonging to Monster Graphics. We may be persuaded to punish your minion on your behalf, however we take no responsibility for dismemberment, loss of minion, or destruction of workplace. Therefore, the Monster Graphics Overlord demands that you carefully check all content - images, grammar, spelling, contact details and placement etc. The colours and overall quality from emailed and/or printed proofs issued will vary from the final printed product. All Monster Minion time spent on any design project is to be paid in full. Monster Graphics Minions must venture forth from their dark cave to outsource printing to third party companies; therefore print prices can vary from the original quote. This is not the Minions� fault, however should you like us to devour one or two for you, we may consider it.
Website Design and Development
Monster Graphics Minions will activate a website once payment or the equivalent sacrifice has been received in full. A design demo for the website will be sent through before the web development commences. Please note we will not release our Minions from their chains to begin development until the demo has been signed-off. It is possible for the Monster Overlord to make changes to the layout after development has commenced, however this usually requires a great number of Monster sacrifices to appease him, and can be time consuming. We advise you make any changes to the website layout at the design stage. Monster Graphics supports the following web browsers - Google Chrome 2.0+, Internet Explorer 7+, Firefox 3+ and Safari 4+.
Colossus Online Business Systems
Any of our CMS or Colossus website systems must be hosted by Monster Graphics. Our Minions are fully trained on the hamster wheel that powers the generator allowing the Colossus platform to function, therefore we cannot allow any alternative hosting. There are 3 different hosting plans available for the Colossus website systems depending on your requirements or your stock of small furry animal sacrifices. These prices are subject to change at the discretion of Monster Graphics or the whim of the Master Overlord, and all current users will be given 3 months notice. In the case that invoices are not paid, our Monster Minions will discontinue some or all of the functionality of your Colossus website and may visit your offices in the night to remove the ink from your printer and in some instances your paperclips. We have no control over this.
Website updates and changes
Any updates or changes required will be estimated up-front and are charged out at our hourly rate.
Customer requirements
It is up to the client to provide all content in a reasonable and timely fashion. This includes photographs and copy required to complete any project. Our Monster Overlord recommends the services of an evil yet highly skilled content writer and a madly talented photographer to ensure you get the best out of your website or print media. Failure to provide content will result in a delay in delivery of your finished project and possible further disappearance of your office stationery.
Hosting
We keep our Minions working through the night to keep your service uninterrupted; often with whips and flails, however we still cannot guarantee a 100% up time. Even if we were to replace all of our current Minions with new, more subservient Minions (and this is often discussed), we still would not be able to guarantee 100% up time. We do offer spam and virus filtering, POP, IMAP and webmail, and we hope this will serve to satisfy your voracious need for Monster Minion sweat. Our servers are based in a secure area within New Zealand and Australia. We cannot tell you where. From time to time hosting can be interrupted resulting in down time of a website or email account. In the case that your business experiences a loss due to down time Monster Graphics are not held responsible but we may be persuaded to devour one or more of our Minions in your name.

Pick & Choose Package Terms
- The initial consult will be either at the office of Monster Graphics, your premises or by phone. The project will be discussed in full.
- You will receive a written quote for the Pick and Choose package. If you require anything further it will be written into the quote.
- There is 30 minutes included for fine-tuning - this includes tweaks, changes and amendments to the initial designs. Any time spent on fine tuning which exceeds this time allocated will be charged at our standard rate of $90 an hour.
- Extra pages and features can be added to this package. If required please specify and they can be added to the initial quote.
- A timeframe will be discussed at the initial consult for your project.
- A deposit of $600 is to be paid by the 30th December 2011 to qualify
- A project payment of $600 is to be paid once the design is signed off and before development begins.
- The final payment of $600 is to be made in full before the website goes LIVE.
- Once the final payment is made Monster Graphics will have your website up LIVE within 48 hours.
